This life hack is perfect for those who don’t have an angle grinder or those who cannot use an angle grinder in a hard-to-reach place. For example, it is necessary to cut off the ring of a pipe coming out of the wall. The pipe can be either metal or plastic.

Will need

  • A length of stud or long bolt.
  • 3 nuts.
  • 2 washers larger than the disk diameter.
  • 1 washer along the inner diameter of the disk mounting ring.

How to cut a pipe evenly without an angle grinder in a hard-to-reach place

Take a large washer and put it on the bolt. Next, we put on a smaller washer, which should be approximately equal to the diameter of the hole in the cutting disc (if you don’t find such a washer, you can try to clamp the disc evenly without it).

Next we put on the grinder disc. Then we put on a large washer and secure it with a nut.

The result is a cutting attachment for a drill or screwdriver.

We clamp the nozzle in the drill chuck and at maximum speed we cut the pipe as needed.

Of course, the speed here is low, not like an angle grinder, but it’s still quite possible to work. This life hack can be used to cut not only a thin air duct pipe, but also a thick water pipe.

So be sure to take note of this method.
