Heating system assembly
To make a heating radiator, you need to braid a heating cable into a piece of mesh. The mesh size should be several centimeters shorter than the desired radiator parameters.
The power wire is connected to the woven cable; the connection points are insulated with a thermo-shrink.
Next, you need to assemble a mold for the size of the battery from scrap materials, put a mesh with a cable into it and fill everything with concrete mortar to a height of 20 mm.To make it easier to hang the radiator on the wall later, you can attach eyelets to the mesh. After the concrete hardens, they will hold securely.
The dried battery, preferably after the concrete has fully gained strength (28 days), is hung on the wall and connected to an adjustable thermostat.
The latter can control several radiators at once, so if necessary, they can be added at any time. The thermostat itself is connected to the electrical network.
The cable located in the batteries heats up to +60 degrees Celsius, so the concrete slab does not become scalding hot. Since the power is supplied through an adjustable thermostat, as soon as the set temperature is reached in the room, the radiator automatically turns off and then turns on when it gets cold.
Such equipment is fireproof because it does not heat up too much, and short-term contact with a concrete slab does not cause burns. The temperature of the battery itself on the surface will not reach the maximum heating of the cable. This allows you to install a similar heating system in access areas of small animals.
The low cost of a homemade battery in terms of energy consumption deserves special attention. The heating cable consumes only 20 W/m.p., and one battery requires a maximum of 2-3 m, that is, the cost per hour will be up to 0.06 kW. Moreover, thanks to the thermostat, it is connected to the network not 24 hours a day, but half of this time, provided that the room is insulated and is able to maintain the elevated temperature.
